There are 6 regional wine industry funds and the South Australian Grape Growers Industry Fund. These allow the industry to be innovative, adopt best practice, and obtain resources to respond to the modern marketplace.

Grape growers can save up to $2,000 per hectare in input, water and management costs in their red wine grape vineyards through a trial being undertaken across South Australia.

About grapes and wine
South Australia accounts for almost 80% of Australia’s premium wine, produced from some of the oldest vines in the world.
We dominate the Australian wine industry, with just under half of the country's vineyards situated in South Australia.
Our capital city, Adelaide, has joined an exclusive group of Great Wine Capitals – an internationally renowned network which strengthens our reputation for premium food and wine tourism.
In 2022–23 our wine industry generated $1.9 billion in revenue for South Australia.

No and low (NOLO) alcohol wine
The Government of South Australia’s NOLO Alcohol Program includes an investment of $1.98 million for the University of Adelaide to establish the world’s first trial-scale NOLO research facility.
