TAFE SA: Improving Access to EducationTAFE SA identified opportunities to improve the way it delivers specific courses and content. Consultation has determined that courses offered in a particular region will be tailored to the needs of that local region. In some regions, TAFE SA identified off-campus facilities which are more fit-for-purpose than current TAFE SA sites. In those cases, TAFE SA will cease delivering from its current site and continue to serve the area using shared industry or community facilities which are better aligned to specified training objectives. Water Heater Standards

It is proposed to:

  1. Adopt a requirement, commencing 1 July 2008, for hot water systems installed into dwellings to meet greenhouse gas emission performance standards; and
  2. To adopt a complementary shower flow rate performance standard for water heater installations to reduce domestic water use and maximise greenhouse gas emissions reductions by further improving overall energy efficiency; and
  3. To recast the Solar Hot Water Rebate Scheme to
  • assist low income households meet the full performance standard and
  • effectively operate within the available funds.

King George Whiting Fishery ManagementPrimary Industries and Resources South Australia (Fisheries) is seeking additional management measures for King George whiting (KGW) because scientific evidence indicates concerns about the sustainability of the species. Spencer Gulf and Gulf St Vincent are considered overfished and the West Coast fully fished given the current levels of catch and fishing pressure of both the commercial and recreational fishing sectors.
