Why can’t I access myPIRSA?

  • myPIRSA is not available during scheduled or emergency system maintenance. You will see a maintenance page during these outages.
  • You may not be using a compatible internet browser. See the instructions on this page for help with browsers.

I have forgotten my password, how can I get it reset?

  1. Click ‘Forgot your password?’ on myPIRSA’s login page.
  2. Enter the email address you used to register with myPIRSA.
  3. Click ‘Submit’.
  4. Enter the security code as provided to your email address and click ‘Check Code.
  5. Type a new password twice and click ‘Submit’.
  6. Log into myPIRSA with your new password.

How can I update my details or password?

Update your details

  1. Login to myPIRSA.
  2. Click ‘My Profile’.
  3. Select ‘Click here to update your details’.
  4. Update your details and click ‘Submit’.

Update your password

  1. Login to myPIRSA.
  2. Click ‘My Profile’.
  3. Select ‘Click here to change your password’.
  4. Enter your old password. Enter your new password twice and click ‘Submit’.

When will I know that the service I have applied for has been approved?

You should receive an email within 4 working days.

What internet browser do I need to use myPIRSA?

  • The two most recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome support myPIRSA.
  • We can’t guarantee all features of myPIRSA will work in other browsers or versions.
  • iPads and smart phones are not currently supported.

How do I check what browsers I have?

Windows 7 or 8:

  • From the start menu, click on the windows icon (bottom left-hand side of the window).
  • In the search program or files section, type Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  • If these are installed, they will appear in the list.

How do I make Firefox my default browser?

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Open the menu (the three horizontal bars on the top-right corner of your window).
  3. Click ‘Options’.
  4. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  5. Under the System Defaults section, you will see this line: ‘Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup.’ If the box next to it isn't checked, check it.
  6. Click ‘Make Firefox the default browser’.
  7. Click OK to close the Options Window. Firefox is now your default browser.

How do I make Google Chrome my default browser?

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Open the menu (the four horizontal bars on the top-right corner of your window).
  3. Click ‘Settings’.
  4. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  5. If the Default browser states the following message, “Google Chrome is not currently your default browser, ‘Click’ Make Google Chrome the default button browser.

How do I make Internet Explorer my default browser?

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Open the Tools menu. Select ‘Internet Options’ at the bottom.
  3. The Internet Options window will open. Click the Programs tab.
  4. At the top of this window you'll see a Default Web Browser section. Below you may see, ‘Internet Explorer is not currently the default web browser.’
  5. Click the ‘Make Default’ button.
  6. Check the box next to, ‘Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser.’
  7. Click OK.

How can I check what my current browser version is?

  1. Open either Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer:
  2. In either browser, find Help in the menu.
  3. Select About Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or About Mozilla Firefox.
  4. You will see a browser version number.

What is the latest Internet Explorer version I can use?

Depending on your Windows operating system, your computer may only be able to run a certain version of Internet Explorer.

myPIRSA is not supported by some older operating systems. If you are using a computer with Windows XP or below, consider installing Firefox.

How can I upgrade my browser to the current version?

If your computer supports the latest version, you can install Internet Explorer.

If you have Firefox installed, it will automatically update. To turn this feature on:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Open the menu (the three horizontal bars on the top-right corner of your window).
  3. Click ‘Options’.
  4. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab, and select Update.
  5. Under the Update section, select either:
    1. automatically install updates (recommended: improved security)
    2. check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them
    3. never check for updates (not recommended: security risk)
  6. Click OK.

If you have Chrome installed, it will automatically update. To check if this feature is set to automatically update:

  1. In the top right, click the Chrome menu (the four horizontal bars on the top-right corner of your window). .
  2. Click Update Google Chrome. If you don't see this button, you're on the latest version.
  3. Click Relaunch.

Why do I have to read myPIRSA’s terms and conditions?

Use of the myPIRSA portal (ebiz.pir.sa.gov.au) is governed by the terms and conditions, which when accepted, constitute an agreement between you and the South Australian Government (including its agents, employees and subcontractors). If you do not agree to the terms and conditions you should not use the myPIRSA portal.
