Friday 5 August 2022

If you’ll be at the Eyre Peninsula Field Days at Cleve from 9–11 August, stop by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) stand to get the latest information about biosecurity, soil management, farming practices, recreational fishing, and more.

You can also enter a draw to win a hamper full of the region’s products, worth $300.

Experts will be on hand to share details about PIRSA’s activity in the Eyre Peninsula as well as across the state.

  • Animal health professionals will be on hand with information about disease management programs, and learn about the benefits of One Biosecurity, South Australia’s voluntary on-farm biosecurity management program.
  • Plant health experts will have detail on reducing risks of pests and diseases that can affect South Australian crops and threaten our economy.
  • Learn all about AgTech demonstration farms, which give farmers a chance to get hands-on with the latest AgTech products.
  • Discover how the SA Drought Hub is helping with drought resilience in the region.
  • Find out how South Australian sheep and wool growing businesses are being supported towards more profitable, resilient and environmentally sustainable production systems through Sheep Connect.
  • Chat to a Fisheries Officer or Fishcare volunteer to get up-to-date information about recreational fishing. You can also grab a free measuring gauge or sticker.

The PIRSA stand will also have detail on some relevant programs from outside the department. You can learn about:
