About the aquaculture application
PIRSA Fisheries and Aquaculture is currently assessing an application from AquaUtopia Pty Ltd to farm Gooseneck Barnacles (Lepas anatifera) and Common Kelp (Ecklonia radiata).
The application proposes the farming of Gooseneck Barnacles using settlement pipes and Common Kelp using uncontained longlines.

Location of proposed activity
The proposed activity is located in subtidal waters approximately three nautical miles north-east of Cape Jaffa, South Australia. The area is outside gazetted aquaculture zone policy areas.
