National Significant Disease Investigation Program

The National Significant Disease Investigation Program (NSDIP) subsidises the cost of investigating significant disease outbreaks in livestock and wildlife. It is managed by Animal Health Australia.

Subsidies cover the cost of:

  • post mortems
  • sample collections.

The program is funded from livestock industries and government subscriptions.

Funding approval

Funding must be approved before investigations are made. Contact your local veterinary officer about approvals.
