Goldfish

Freshwater species found in South Australia. Established in some freshwater bodies including the River Murray.

Goldfish is a common aquarium species that competes with native fish. Never release or dispose of unwanted aquarium fish into waterways without a permit.

Exotic species under the Fisheries Management Act 2007. It may not be deposited, released or allowed to escape into any waters in South Australia without specific authorisation.
