Consultation on the proposed fishery permits has closed.
Feedback was sought on three applications for developmental fishery permits to harvest Turbo Shell in South Australian waters.
Turbo Shell is a sea snail that inhabits rocky reefs in South Australia's temperate waters.
A small number of fishers had historically been given Ministerial exemptions to harvest Turbo Shells since 2000, which limited them to hand collection with individual total allowable catches.
The following documents were available as part of the public consultation process:
- Proposed arrangements for Turbo Shell Developmental Fishery Permits ()
- ESD Risk Assessment of Miscellaneous Dive Fishery ()
