Paul Henry is one of Australia's leading wine marketers. He runs his own wine marketing consultancy, Winehero, and is a driving force behind Adelaide / South Australia's membership of the prestigious Great Wine Capitals Global Network.
Paul moved to South Australia from his native England in 2006 to lead marketing development for what is now Wine Australia, having previously worked as its regional manager for the UK and Ireland for four years. He had visited Adelaide in the 1990s and believed the local food and wine was equal to the best the US, France and Italy had to offer.
"I was convinced of that the first time I visited Adelaide and the first time I visited the Adelaide Central Market," he said.
"I am totally and utterly convinced that what is present in this state is not just best in class but world class."
Paul is also a fan of the South Australian attitude towards eating and serving food.
"I love the stories and the provenance of great food. You have that in this state and its regions."
