Rosa Matto has been showing people how to cook for more than 30 years, in all manner of settings, and is a passionate advocate for the power of food and the quality of South Australian produce.
She runs a cooking school, teaches in clients' homes, was the former resident chef for the SA Life magazine and television show, regularly appears in other media outlets, hosts the popular Taste the World sessions at WomAdelaide and for more than a decade has run cooking sessions in the Taste SA pavilion at the Royal Adelaide Show.
She also leads tours around South Australia and to several overseas destinations, including Asia and Italy.
Rosa's parents hail from the Campania region in southern Italy and she grew up in a culture that marks special family events with a meal together. Much of the produce came from their kitchen garden.
"I love to show people the small places in South Australia that they might otherwise overlook," she said.
"South Australian produce is so wonderful and people here have a great knowledge of food and wine and are happy to share it."
