Growing SA's red meat and wool industries
The Red Meat and Wool Growth Program was delivered between 1 July 2019 – 30 June 2023.
The South Australian Government committed $7.5 million over three years and partnered with industry to grow our red meat and wool industries.
The Red Meat and Wool Growth Program focused on achieving the targets set out in the South Australian sheep industry blueprint and beef industry blueprint and supported livestock producers to:
- rebuild stock numbers and quality
- increase uptake of AgTech and data based decision making
- enhance business planning skills
- promote best practice farm management
- strengthen biosecurity.
