In late 2018 an independent review of South Australia’s moratorium on the cultivation of Genetically Modified (GM) food crops was undertaken evaluating the benefits and costs of the GM Moratorium to the South Australian economy and agricultural industries.
A report of the review was released publicly on 20 February 2019 and contains 19 findings which are now being considered by the State Government.

During the consultation period The Minister accepted feedback from South Australian industry, farmers and community stakeholders on the report’s findings. The Minister accepted written submissions until 5 pm Wednesday 6 March 2019.
