Regional food manufacturers looking to create novel or innovative food products or processes are encouraged to apply for Round 3 of the Advanced Food Manufacturing (AFM) grants program.
Expressions of Interest are now open, with grants of up to $100,000 available for co-funded projects between local food manufacturers and research providers.
The AFM grants program is designed to help companies solve challenges in their business, leverage new markets, meet consumer demands and improve manufacturing processes by working in partnership with a research or technology provider to reach an innovative solution.
Round 3 of the program will aim to drive greater innovation in the state’s food sector, and help businesses grow their capabilities – allowing them to better compete on a global stage. To drive further growth in the sector, preference for projects that can demonstrate a focus on delivering a functional or luxury product will be given.
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to support the development of novel or innovative food products or processes. Expressions of interest for the AFM grants program close at 5:00pm, 29 July 2016.
