Applications are now open for the 2017 Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC) Rural Women’s Award.
The award is open to all women across Australia involved in primary industries and/or rural Australia. The RIRDC Rural Women’s Award is Australia’s pre-eminent award for rural women, identifying and supporting emerging women leaders who have the desire, commitment and leadership potential to make a greater contribution to primary industries and rural communities.
Each state winner will be awarded a $10,000 financial bursary to implement a project or initiative that will benefit primary industries and rural Australia. They will also have the opportunity to undertake leadership development opportunities such as the AICD Company Directors Course, and receive support to develop an individual integrated leadership plan.
South Australia’s state winner will represent SA against the other state and territory winners in the national award. The national winner will receive a further $10,000 and the national runner-up a further $5,000 in addition to their bursary as state winner, to assist in meeting national commitments such as speaking engagements.
Nominations close on 31 October 2016. Visit the RIRDC website for more information.
