Applications close on Friday 26 February for the Upper Spencer Gulf and Outback Futures Program.
The $2 million fund, introduced as a once-off stand-alone program for 2015-16, will provide assistance to local projects that will create jobs and drive economic growth in the Upper Spencer Gulf and Outback area.
The Program recognises the challenges the area is currently facing due to the downturn in the resources sector and the impending closure of the Port Augusta power stations and the Leigh Creek coal mine by Alinta Energy. Grants will support projects that contribute to the economic diversification and resilience of the Upper Spencer Gulf and Outback communities.
Grants of between $50,000 and $200,000 will be considered for projects that fit the eligibility criteria.
