The Whyalla and Central Outback round of Fund My Idea is now open for community members to submit their ideas to be considered for funding.
Fund My Idea awards $50,000 to each host area of a Country Cabinet for project proposals that will assist the community meet its economic and social needs. Ideas are submitted and voted on by the public, with the top three ideas considered for funding.
Submissions are open until 5.00pm, Monday 5 December. Public voting will take place between Friday 9 December and Friday 6 January.
The Whyalla and Central Outback Country Cabinet was held 20-22 November, with over 200 people attending a public forum on Sunday at the Central Whyalla Football Club. Morning teas were also held in Roxby Downs and Coober Pedy, giving local residents the opportunity to meet a number of Cabinet Ministers to discuss ideas and challenges specific to their region.
