South Australia’s farmers and primary producers can now access business information, share ideas and keep up with the latest news through a new one-stop website.
Rural Connect, an initiative of Primary Producers SA, also provides a platform for producers to interact and have their say on industry issues.
The site will ensure primary producers receive the latest news to help in their daily operations.
Primary Producers SA Executive Chairman Rob Kerin said Rural Connect features multiple channels for sourcing information and interacting with industry and government.
“Rural Connect can be freely accessed with a simple registration by anyone wanting to get a snapshot of key, industry-relevant information such as news and events, weather forecasting, Twitter feeds, forms and surveys,” Mr Kerin said.
“We encourage all primary producers to register to see the benefits of the site. Commodity association members can access a gated area which provides more tailored information specific to their individual needs.
“Rural Connect has been developed to help primary producers better manage their time and business, to make valuable connections and to engage with industry stakeholders and decision makers.
“It is an evolving project and users are encouraged to provide feedback on how Rural Connect can be improved.”
A smartphone app version of Rural Connect is also being developed. Visit the Rural Connect website for more information or to register.
