The Trees on Farms Initiative aligns with the national forest industries plan – Growing a better Australia: A billion trees for jobs and growth.

Farm-based forestry resources

A series of resources are available as a result of the initiative, to help develop on-farm plantations in South Australia:

• establishing and operating a farm-based forestry business
• growing firewood
• ordering seedlings and planting trees
• options for forest landowners
• sustainable landscape management.

Collaborative research projects
