Primary Industries Future Forward Fund
The Primary Industries Future Forward Fund commits $8 million over 4 years to advance the prosperity, sustainability and resilience of South Australia’s primary producers.
The fund will assist industry sectors to deliver projects with sector-wide benefits:
- investment in innovation, research and development, and cutting-edge technologies to increase industry productivity and capability
- promotion of South Australian agriculture, food and wine
- support primary production businesses to build capability to respond to environmental and market pressures
- increase sustainability credentials throughout the supply chain
- strengthen and develop the workforce for primary industries
- increase sector preparedness for environmental disruptions, biosecurity threats and other emerging issues.
There are two components to the fund:
- $6 million for the grains, wine, livestock, dairy, horticulture, seafood, fisheries and spirits industries
- $2 million for forest industries.
The fund is administered by the PIRSA for the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development and Minister for Forest Industries. The Minister will make the final decision on all applications.
