[Narrator] South Australia is indisputably Australia's wine state.

Adelaide and our state's 18 picturesque wine regions are a proud member of the prestigious Great Wine Capitals Global Network, which formerly recognises South Australia as one of the top wine producers in the world.

We're renowned for our premium wine and food experiences, both within our towns and cities and the regions.

Boasting a clean environment, diverse landscapes, rich soils, and unique regional micro-climates, South Australia has some of the world's oldest vines.

And thanks to rigorous biosecurity measures, the state has been kept free of the vine-ravaging pest, phylloxera.

Celebrated throughout the world for the quality, personality, and diversity of our wines, South Australia has a proud winemaking heritage, as well as a reputation as a leader, moderniser and innovator.

Our winemaking history has been enhanced by embracing modern winemaking techniques and a commitment to environmental sustainability and purity to preserve the industry for future generations.

Innovation is supported through Adelaide being the location for Australia's leading viticultural and immunological education, research, and development institutions.

South Australia is home to many of Australia's most prestigious wine brands in addition to new and emerging wine labels, which are attracting significant acclaim around the world.

Wine is central to South Australia's story.

It's part of our culture and a source of immense local pride.

A story we're sharing with the world.
