Financial hardship support
We have an obligation to ensure that all prescribed fees, charges and other amounts owed to PIRSA are paid. We recognise that financial pressure from a range of business and other factors will impact the ability of some customers to meet their debts.
We encourage you to seek independent professional advice and support if you consider yourself in financial hardship – see Additional support.
Payment plans
PIRSA can work with you to establish a payment plan for your debts. A payment plan will enable you to pay the full amount owed in structured payments across the invoicing period.
Contact the relevant PIRSA business unit to discuss setting up a payment plan:

Financial hardship review
If you consider that you are in financial hardship, you can apply to PIRSA for a financial hardship review.
You will need to provide:
- budget summary listing estimated business income and expenditure for the next 12 months
- financial statements and taxation returns for your business for the previous 2 years
- taxation returns for the business owners for the previous 2 years
- statement of assets and liabilities
- current statements for bank accounts, superannuation, and investments
- any other information or documents that you would like to provide in support of the review.
Any information disclosed is confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than assessing your application. PIRSA may need to seek further information or clarification from you.
An agent or adviser may also be able to help you to prepare the required information for the financial hardship review. You can access free and independent advice and support through services provided by PIRSA – see Additional support.
Requests for financial hardship will be dealt with by PIRSA in a consistent, timely and fair manner. Please note that you may continue to accrue fees and charges while your review is being made.
You can request a financial hardship review by emailing: PIRSA.RuralFinance@sa.gov.au.
