eID Device Rebates

NOW CLOSED TO APPLICATIONS

Key dates

Applications close on 30 April 2024 at 5 pm.

Eligible eID tags must be purchased between 1 January and 31 December 2023.

Rebate details

Applications for the electronic identification (eID) device rebate are open to sheep and farmed goat producers who purchase 2023 year-of-birth NLIS-accredited tags.

The eID device rebate is part of the Government of South Australia's stage 1 support package to assist primary producers in transitioning to the national eID traceability system for sheep and goats.

Amounts

You can apply for a rebate on the purchase price of eligible eID devices of 50% up to a cap of $0.95 (GST exclusive) per tag.

Eligibility

The eID device rebate is open to South Australian sheep and farmed goat producers who:

  • have an active property identification code (PIC) registered with PIRSA
  • purchase NLIS-accredited eID breeder tags for sheep or goats in the 2023 year-of-birth colour (sky blue)
  • provide invoices and proof of payment for purchases between 1 January and 31 December 2023.

See the full list of accredited eID devices.

How to apply

Applications have now closed.

Only one application form per PIC will be accepted. If you have multiple PICs, you need to complete the application process for each PIC.

You will receive a receipt number upon submitting the online form. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval of a rebate.

Applications will be assessed by PIRSA in the order they are received, and outcomes will be advised in approximately 4 weeks.
