Caulerpa cylindracea (also known as Caulerpa ramemosa) is a marine alga that can overgrow and outcompete native species. It's native to tropical and temperate regions of WA.

It's established in locations in the Port River-Baker Inlet and some locations along the Adelaide metropolitan coast,

Exotic species under the Fisheries Management Act 2007. It may not be deposited, released or allowed to escape into any waters in South Australia without specific authorisation.

Never release or dispose of unwanted aquarium plants into waterways without a permit.
