Grant details
The Inland River Flood (SA) Primary Producer Recovery Grant program is targeted at primary producers who hold a pastoral lease within the 2025 Inland River Flood Event (SA) flood scar and suffered direct impact as a result of the disaster.
The grant is to support clean-up, relief and recovery costs for primary producers that have suffered direct loss or damage as a result of the Inland River Flood Event (SA) and associated costs with immediate recovery activities needed to rebuild their primary production enterprises.
The Inland River Flood Event (SA) Primary Producer Grant is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Government of South Australia, under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, in relation to the Inland River Flood Event (SA).
Amounts
Eligible primary producers may apply for 1 grant per pastoral lease (as specified in the Inland River Flood Event (SA) Primary Producer Recovery Grants guidelines) to a maximum of $75,000 (excluding GST).
Tier 1: grant of up to $25,000
Upon supplying evidence that direct damage has occurred an initial amount of up to $25,000 (excluding GST) is available. Evidence may include tax invoices, official receipts, quotations or estimates, a written inventory of lost or damaged assets, or photographs.
Tier 2: grant of up to $50,000
A subsequent amount of up to $50,000 (GST exclusive) is available. To receive funding under Tier 2, you must submit full evidence of payment (official tax invoices and receipts) with Tier 2 claims. Evidence of payment must also include any amounts claimed under the initial Tier 1 claim, if not already provided.
You can make up to 3 claims to support your grant for up to $75,000 (GST exclusive). Subsequent claims can be submitted up to 6 months from submission of your initial application. Any additional claims will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility
Eligible primary producers must have operated a primary production livestock business and held a pastoral lease within the 2025 Inland River Flood Event (SA) flood scar at the time of the flood event which resulted in direct impact.
How to apply
Impacted primary producers will receive direct communication from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions on how to apply for the grant.
