Shortlist announced for 2027 Best Of Wine Tourism Awards

The shortlisted wineries and wine tourism businesses have been revealed for the prestigious 2027 Best Of Wine Tourism Awards.

Presented as part of Adelaide’s membership in the prestigious Great Wine Capitals Global Network, the Best Of Wine Tourism Awards recognise innovation and excellence in a sector that continues to play a major role in attracting visitors to South Australia.

The awards celebrate the diversity of South Australia’s wine tourism industry across seven unique categories: Accommodation, Architecture and Landscape, Art and Culture, Culinary Experiences, Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences, Wine Tourism Services, and Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices.

This year, 11 outstanding wineries and wine tourism operators have been shortlisted, with winners to be announced at the SA Wine Industry Dinner on Thursday, 17 September, at the National Wine Centre.

The 2027 shortlisted businesses are:

• Beresford Estate, McLaren Vale
• BK Wines, Adelaide Hills
• Chateau Tanunda, Barossa
• d’Arenberg, McLaren Vale
• Home of Plenty, Currency Creek
• Jacob’s Creek, Barossa
• National Wine Centre, Adelaide
• On Cockatoo Lane, Barossa
• Paulett Wines & Bush deVine Restaurant, Clare Valley
• Slate Restaurant at Pikes Wines, Clare Valley
• Tscharke Wines, Barossa

The awards are presented in partnership with DrinkWise, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that promotes responsible alcohol consumption.

Winners will be chosen by an independent panel featuring prominent South Australian wine and tourism leader Helen Edwards AM, renowned wine journalist Katie Spain, and Adelaide University Associate Professor and Marketing Scientist Justin Cohen.

The businesses who pick up awards this month will go on to compete in the international Best Of Wine Tourism Awards, presented during the Great Wine Capitals Global Network’s annual conference in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand in October, where they will be benchmarked against other leading wine regions from around the world.

Each South Australian winner will also be profiled throughout the year for their significant contributions to the state’s wine tourism sector.

The South Australian Best Of Wine Tourism Awards are coordinated by the Great Wine Capitals’ South Australian steering committee, which includes representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), South Australian Tourism Commission, South Australian Wine Industry Association, and Adelaide University.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of South Australia joining the prestigious Great Wine Capitals Global Network, further cementing our state’s reputation as a world-class wine destination.
