Women paving the way for leadership in agriculture

The latest round of emerging leaders in agriculture and rural communities has been selected to participate in a professional development program aimed at supporting inspirational South Australian women to take the next step in their professional journey.

Supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), the Stepping into Leadership Program is run by WoTL (Women Together Learning), an organisation working to grow and inspire women in agribusiness.

The group of 15 women selected from across regional South Australia will spend the next eight months building their leadership skills through face-to-face professional development, individual coaching, mentoring and webinars.

Since the program was launched in 2012, more than 160 women have been provided training and support to step into leadership roles in agriculture, associated industries and within their communities.
