Ineligible to apply
The following entities are ineligible to apply as a lead applicant but may be involved as a collaborative partner:
- government agencies
- statutory boards
- local government

- Regional Development Australia Associations.
In exceptional circumstances, an application from one of these entities may be considered where the proposed project delivers significant multi-sector benefits and the applicant can demonstrate it is uniquely positioned to lead and deliver the project.
The project is ineligible if:
- the applicant has previously received assistance from PIRSA or other relevant government grant funds to achieve the same project benefits
- it is more appropriately funded through other funding sources such as government programs.
How to apply
Read the Primary Industries Future Forward Fund guidelines ( ).
It is recommended you contact PIRSA to discuss your proposed project (see below).
You must prepare a written application and provide the following information about your project:
- explanation of expected sector-wide benefits to be delivered through the project and the alignment to an existing masterplan, blueprint or other strategic plan or report
- project plan including major milestones and budget

Benefits should be capable of being shared across the sector and contribute to industry priorities identified in relevant blueprints, masterplans or strategic plans.
Applications that include co-contributions (in-kind and funding) and the ability to leverage other funding sources will be positively considered with regard given to significant projects where co-investment strengthens value for money and overall project outcomes.
