This case study was developed by PIRSA’s AgTech Program (2021–2025). PIRSA does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of the information provided, nor does it constitute endorsement. Please confirm details with the respective vendor.

AgIntel remote monitoring combines satellite imagery and agronomic expertise to analyse farm performance.

Benefits

Digital Content Analysis Technology's (D-CAT) system helps to:

  • manage stock movement and grazing
  • optimise feed availability
  • assess crop or land health status
  • quantify and isolate weeds for spraying
  • map variable rate fertiliser
  • assess topsoil minerals prior to seeding crops.

How it works

AgIntel monitors and compares key soil, water, and crops across paddocks. It provides graphical trend analysis across historical paddock data and variable rate map creation.

The technology uses a range of multispectral image insights beyond NDVI, including chlorophyll, stress, moisture, and senescence.

Installation and power

AgIntel is installed with the assistance of D-CAT’s technical support.
