The X6 Stock Recorder can record a wide range of information, including breeding, births, weights, treatments, movements, and genetic data. This enables farmers to:

  • calculate average daily weight gains and carcass weight
  • store tag numbers and condition scores.

The X6 is rugged, reliable, and easy to use with a compact size for farmers to carry it around in their pockets.

How it works

Shearwell's X6 Stock Recorder scans RFID tags in cattle and sheep and stores the associated data. This provides the ability to track, assess, and record information against the animal’s individual tag number.

It is handheld and battery-powered with a touch screen for data entry. The device can connect to compatible readers and weigh scales via Bluetooth.

Installation and power

Rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Connectivity requirements

No connectivity required for recording data. A PC is needed to import and export of data from FarmWorks software.
