Climate resources
Understanding the local weather patterns and latest climate projections for South Australia is vital for your farming decisions, especially in a changing climate.
See the below resources about predicted climate impacts and potential risks to our agriculture, primary production, and regions.
State weather trends
While SA’s climate has always been highly variable, a warming trend was observed since the 1970s. According to the latest Bureau of Meteorology data, Australian land areas have warmed approximately 1.5ºC over the past century.
Rainfall has also declined for most of the state since the 1970s, particularly in autumn and spring over the agricultural regions.
