Associate Professor Adrian Linnane
Biography
Associate Professor Linnane brings over two decades of expertise in fisheries science to his role at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI). His expertise spans various fields including crustacean biology, fisheries science, stock assessment, harvest strategies, climate change impacts, survey design and fleet dynamics.
He has initiated and lead numerous applied research initiatives that have advanced Australia’s seafood industry and delivered positive outcomes for the South Australian crustacean fishing sector. Associate Professor Linnane is passionate about forging genuine relationships with stakeholders and industry partners, ensuring that South Australia’s crustacean fishery management is underpinned by world-class science delivery.
He drives applied industry-initiated projects that have a meaningful outcome for the fishing sector while maintaining resource sustainability and profitability. Associate Professor Linnane has 62 papers in international scientific journals and 2 book chapters.
