Associate Professor Craig Noell

Biography

Associate Professor Craig Noell has more than 25 years of experience as a research scientist and fisheries manager in fishery assessments and harvest strategy development for most of South Australia’s commercial fisheries. A/Professor Noell is currently the Principal Scientist and Subprogram Leader of Community-Based Fisheries at SARDI Aquatic and Livestock Sciences.

He and his team lead the research and assessment program for the marine scalefish, Lakes and Coorong, blue crab and charter boat fisheries, the recreational fishing sector and Aboriginal and traditional fishing. Through his extensive experience dealing with South Australian fisheries, Associate Professor Noell has developed a unique and versatile set of capabilities and skills and has a strong track record of building trust and constructive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
