Dr Hieu Bui

Biography

Hieu is an entomologist who joined SARDI in 2022. His research largely focuses on integrated insect pest management with a particular emphasis on utilising insect natural enemies (parasitic wasps and predatory arthropods) in the biological control of insect pests.

His work aims to develop ecological strategies that enhance biological control in agricultural systems, combining both experimental and theoretical advances.

Prior to joining SARDI, he worked at Vietnam National University of Forestry from 2005, where he contributed to research on insect biodiversity conservation and forest insect pest management.
