Dr Lachlan Lake
Biography
Dr Lachlan Lake is a crop ecophysiologist at the South Australian Research and Development Institute, an associate professor at Flinders University and an affiliate lecturer at the University of Adelaide. His research interests and experience include crop modelling, capture and efficiency in the use of water and nutrients in dryland systems, adaptation of pulses to abiotic stresses and the dynamics of N fixation.
He has a very strong record of delivery of successful research in pulses. Dr Lake has made major contributions to pulse research in the field of stress quantification, response and adaption, N fixation, and has also contributed to the field of environmental quantification. Dr Lake has defined key physiological stages for yield determination in chickpea, lentil and faba bean and has quantified the response of lentil protein to stress.
Dr Lake has a strong record of publications with more than 750 citations in peer reviewed journals, an h index of 15 and an i10 index of 16.
