South Australia has confirmed its first detection of H5 bird flu.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum.

This forum will provide updates on the current preparedness measures in place, as well as the animal, human and environmental health considerations.

You’ll hear from government leaders and experts including:

  • Hon Clare Scriven MLC, Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development
  • Hon Emily Bourke MLC, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water and Minister for Tourism
  • representatives from:
    • Department of Primary Industries and Regions
    • Department for Environment and Water
    • SA Health.

The forum will feature expert presentations on bird flu, public health advice and safety, and include an expert panel question and answer session.

There will be opportunities for attendees to share insights and ask questions.

Forums are free and open to the public.
