PIRSA's Fisheries and Aquaculture Division is assessing an application from Mr Colin Pascoe for a pilot lease and corresponding aquaculture licence.
The application is due to the previous production lease (LA00099) and corresponding aquaculture licence (AQ00091) expiring. As such, we consider the application administrative in nature.
About the application
The pilot lease (LA00099) and corresponding aquaculture licence (AQ00091) is located within Franklin Harbor, Cowell. The aquaculture activity will remain the same as previously authorised, which is the farming of Pacific Oysters (Magallana gigas) using standard contained longlines. There is no change to the lease area (1 hectare).
