Fishing limits search
Recreational fishers must comply with the daily fishing limits for marine and freshwater species caught in South Australian waters. For more information:
- see fishing limits explained – definitions of the terminology we use and how to request a measuring device
- download the printable SA recreational fishing limits brochure ().
All limits apply for a 24-hour period from midnight to midnight. Once you have caught the limit for a species, you are not allowed to take any more.
Check the size, bag, and boat limits
Use the search function below to select different species and see their daily fishing limits. These size, bag, and boat limits may vary for charter boat fishing.
Any species that is not listed in the search does not have fishing restrictions in SA. In this case, take only what you need for personal use.
