Assistance for producers and SA communities

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) responds to emergency events across South Australia that affect the agriculture, livestock, horticulture, aquaculture, fisheries, and forestry sectors.

We act as both a lead and support agency, depending on the type and severity of emergencies impacting primary production and regions. This can involve organising and managing the resources and responsibilities to deal with prevention, preparedness, disaster relief, and recovery.
