Family and Business (FaB) Mentors
PIRSA's Family and Business (FaB) Mentors are available to help primary producers navigate challenging times.
This is a free service in South Australia, identifying assistance specific to your situation.
Support services
FaB Mentors are located across the state in regional areas to provide support and a listening ear when you need it. They are independent, confidential, and experienced in dealing with difficult situations.
FaB Mentors work closely with service providers and can connect you to support options, such as:
- Rural Financial Counselling Service
- local health networks
- emotional wellbeing and counselling services
- government and non-government assistance
- community organisations.
Emergency recovery
The service is free for primary producers, their families, and associated businesses impacted by adverse events, including:
- drought
- bushfire
- severe floods or storms
- fruit fly outbreaks
- fishing and aquaculture industry reforms
- wine industry market change impacts
- pest and disease outbreaks.
