Livestock management software – Agriwebb

Agriwebb is a livestock management software that helps farmers securely record data for farm decisions and audit purposes.

Benefits

Agriwebb improves profitability, compliance, and farm management. It allows staff to track information while working in the paddock, such as:

  • stock numbers and movements
  • husbandry practices on all stock
  • pasture and crop species
  • the status of on-farm tasks and inventory.

This saves time of inputting paper-based data from staff into a management system.

How it works

Producers can map their farms, paddocks and infrastructure in the app to visually plan property schedules, monitor animal needs, and communicate with staff.

Updates are made in real time and records are displayed in the dashboard on your chosen device, even while offline.

AgriWebb has also implemented a tool to use eID for tracking and reporting on an individual animals' status. This data can determine stock that are doing well or poorly in the business, which:

  • allows you to class animals and feed accordingly
  • aids in market decisions.

Farm audit reports such as ‘Cost of production’ and ‘Livestock reconciliation’ are auto generated and accessible via the desktop app.

AgriWebb can integrate other data sources such as Farmbot, AgBot, Farmo, CiboLabs, Gallagher, Tru-Test, Allflex, Shearwell data and Tepari. This shows your tank and trough levels, pasture management, animal tracking, and animal weights against eID from within one app.

Producer case study

Lachie Seears and his father Peter own Boonderoo Pastoral Company, 30 kilometres south-west of Lucindale in South Australia. It is a mixed farming operation of 6,000 hectares across 2 properties, which are located 20 kilometres apart.

They run first-cross and composite ewes and Angus cows, including replacement heifers. Their sheep flock produces prime lambs, and the farm focuses on cropping and irrigation.

Lachie heard of AgriWebb when it was released in 2014 and has been using the technology since it became available on the iOS platform. In managing the farm with 3 fulltime workers and additional seasonal workers, he wanted to improve communication across the business.

AgriWebb enables all on-farm staff the ability to share current information, including:

  • where stock have been moved to
  • accurate stock numbers
  • animal treatments
  • which paddocks have been sprayed
  • if anything is in a withholding period.

Lachie sees AgriWebb as a foolproof way to keep operational records. It overrides the risk of losing a notebook or piece of paper before information is properly recorded or reported to the manager.

With the use of AgriWebb, staff are more engaged and involved with what’s happening on the farm. Accessing data for QA programs and audits is all in the palm of your hand.

Lachie uses the app at least 10 times a day. AgriWebb also allows for multiple profiles with differing access and security levels – some can only view the farm without changing anything, and the owner can privately access the financial side of the business.

AgriWebb has supported Lachie and the team since they first used the app. The online Facebook community page also allows both AgriWebb staff and other users to share ideas and solutions.

Lachie’s recommendation to producers looking to implement AgriWebb is: 'Don’t think about it, just do it. You can make it as simple or in-depth as you want. Their backup support services are incredibly helpful, especially if you are a new user.'
