Ray Borda

Ray Borda is a pioneer of the global kangaroo meat industry. He is managing director and founder of Macro Group Australia – a leading producer of wild game meat.
Macro Group owns a collection of companies, including various premium kangaroo meat brands for retail, food service and export, a luxury leather goods company, and a food and an environmental testing laboratory.

For over 30 years, Ray has working with government to develop quality control procedures, support chefs and educate the public, and he has spearheaded kangaroo meat’s position as a premium product for health conscious and flavour-loving consumers.

Ray is president of the Kangaroo Industry Association of Australia and is involved in many consultative boards regarding kangaroo management, conservation and animal welfare.

In 2009, Ray was named Central Region and National Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2014, at the South Australian Food Industry Awards, he was the inaugural winner of the Duncan MacGillivray Entrepreneurs Award.

He is the chair of Food South Australia.
