Temperature and rainfall data can be compared daily, weekly, monthly, annually or between seasons.

Temperature and relative humidity data are used to determine the number of growing days and track plant growth.

Delta-T informs when spray chemicals can be applied, and estimations of frost damage to crops can be calculated from the temperature and dew point.

The fire danger index is determined with greater accuracy using data obtained on-farm.
