Three finalists for the 2023 Agricultural Town of the Year have been announced, with Eudunda, Wudinna and Bordertown now vying for the coveted title.
Selected by a panel of independent judges, the three towns will be visited as part of the judging process, with one ultimately proclaimed the South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year.
The winner will be announced at the Regional Showcase Awards celebration evening on Thursday 9 November 2023.
The award highlights the important role townships play in supporting advanced agricultural practices, thriving primary industries and regional development through fostering vibrant and resilient economies and communities.
Previous Agricultural Towns of the Year have been Cleve (2019), Pinnaroo (2020), Kimba (2021) and Mypolonga (2022).
The awards attracted 49 nominations from across the state with towns taking up the challenge to present their unique contributions for consideration.
Following the public voting process, the field was so tight that the Top 10 short list became a Top 11, with two towns tying.
