The SA Donated Fodder Transport Drought Assistance Scheme contributes to the freight cost of charitable organisations that are delivering fodder to primary producers. This service helps them feed livestock in drought-impacted areas of the state.

The $2 million scheme is funded as part of the new drought support package.

There are currently 5 charitable organisations keen to support SA farmers with donated fodder who have been approved for subsidies under the scheme:

Join the scheme

Charitable organisations can apply to take part in the scheme. Each participating organisation needs to:

  1. Promote their activities.
  2. Accept registrations from farmers.
  3. Allocate donations – please consider geographical spread.
  4. Manage biosecurity requirements.

Register to receive donated fodder

Primary producers in SA can register with any organisation delivering donated fodder in their region. Some organisations will decide which regions to deliver to based on expressions of interest.

Contact the organisations directly via their webpages or social media to find out about the fodder products and services provided, and to register for deliveries.
