Request research data

In collaboration with the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), we are working toward increasing the findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR) status of our co-owned research data assets.

Research data assets generated by GRDC investments at PIRSA-SARDI are described in GRDC's data catalogue.

How to request research data

Below is what you will need when requesting research data, and how to request it.

  1. Access GRDC's data catalogue to find the record(s) and make a note for each record you're requesting of:
    • the Objective ID
    • the metadata record title.
  2. A list of people and organisations who will have access to the data assets.
  3. Details on how you intend to use the data, including whether you intend to combine it with other data assets.
  4. GRDC project codes and titles if your use case is part of a new GRDC investment.
  5. Complete the Request PIRSA-SARDI data form to make your request.

After submitting your request

Once your request is received we will evaluate your use case and all owners of the data will determine if the request can be granted and under what type of agreement terms.

This request may take up to 3 weeks depending on the complexity.
